The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men is a British and American Technicolor film released in 1952 based on the surviving medieval ballads and the traditional legend of Robin Hood.
The film was Disney's first Robin Hood film, and only one produced during Walt's lifetime as well as their only live action film of the tale.
Plot[]
Robin Hood enters an archery competition with his father, the Earl of Huntingdon, and is set upon by archers working for Prince John on their way home who murder his father. Robin sets out for revenge, and looking for justice for his father and the others abused by John's thirst for power.
